Our three exceptional spaces
Our Art gallery hosts up to 11 Exhibitions each year showcasing local, national and international artists covering a wide range of mediums and artistic expression.
Woodville’s pioneer museum is a capsule of history from pre-1875 to present day, with artefacts from daily living in a rural community.
In homage to our most famous resident we have a permanent Gottfried Lindauer exhibition with his works from the mid-1800s till about 1920.

Rinitawa
Is the name affectionately bestowed upon Gottfried Lindauer by the local Iwi Ngati Kahangunu. Lindauer, who painted many Maori portraits was called Rinitawa by Maori during his travels around the country. It is a name blessed with appreciation for mastery and capturing Aotearoa’s history.
